BUSY!

Well this upcoming week will be BUSY to say the least. I think we have an even planned every night. Including the Breaking Dawn party! EEK, I can hardly wait. Won't be the same though without going with Jackie this year.

I have been working on my genealogy with my Nana again. I have missed it. We took a break for a few years, because we had gotten stuck on lines, and we think there was a name change when the family immigrated. Well, turns out we're still stuck LOL! But Have some new leads this time, and it's nice to just be working on it again in general. I LOVE it.

We got to web chat with Jackie tonight and that is always fun. We miss her so much and I can't wait for her to come home. How many days until Christmas break?? Too many! I hope they go by fast. Hard to believe November is almost half over! Yikes.

I was also called to serve in the Ward Christmas party committee. EXCITING! I have been asked to make 75 cards for the youth of the church to decorate and the Young Women will be delivering them to the elderly before Christmas. What a wonderful memory they will have doing so.

Also this week have to get geared up for Christmas shopping! Love it. So many ideas floating through my head of things I want to make with the girls this year. So many I can't contain them LOL and I don't know which ones to get started on.

Got an early day tomorrow, which is actually today in just a few hours, so I guess I should head to bed?

Until the next time....

California trip

Hello friends! We had a wonderful time in California visiting Jackie. We arrived Saturday afternoon and stayed until the following Friday afternoon. On sunday we were all able to go to church as a family, which was so nice. And then afterwards we were able to go up to the Oakland Temple. Stunning as always. Billy and Katie have never been to that temple, so it was nice to see how Katie loved seeing the "castle". We got some really cute pictures. These are 2 of my faves. All Katie wanted to do the entire week were there was go back to the temple.
We got alot done in the short time we were there, and even did some home improvements for my parents as a surprise! I only wish we were there when they got home from their trip to Hawaii so we could have visited. BUT I would really like to plan a trip back out there in January for me and Katie's birthdays. And on the way stop at Disneyland! Wouldn't that be nice.

We also got to spend some time time with my brother and sister. Which is always nice too. Unfortunately I didn't make it to see any of my friends or extended family. That was the only thing that bummed me out.

Jackie and I also crafted quite a bit. We made her a journal and then I made my mom some decorative boxes for her room. For perfumes or just additional storage spaces. I really liked the way they turned out.

I always love going home and feeling the love there. And I can't wait to go back! Until next time friends...

Travel time!!

Hello friends! We are getting ready for our treck to San Jose, California on Saturday morning to go see Jackie for the week. We are super excited to see her it's been since August since she was here. Time travels to slowly when your missing someone. And I'm sure while we are together the week will fly by. But on the agenda is visiting friends, and visiting the Temple in Oakland on Wednesday after Jackie gets out of school. This is my favorite temple. One I have been to many times.

I am trying to squeeze in Monterey Bay Aquarium, but no sure if it will fit in. We shall see.

This past weekend was also General Conference. This is one of my favorite times of the year. I love hearing the guidance and reminders from our leaders. I feel so blessed knowing that during this time in the world I am not alone.

Also while we are there, I plan on doing a little crafting with Jackie. I really want to make her a journal with my Bind It All. Well, I'm hoping its something we can do together. I am sure we will make Katie one too. We also plan on bringing the litte dogs, Lilly and Zoey, so this shall be an experience lol. They have never gone with us on vacation before. And my mom has 4 dogs so I hope they all get a long.

Well friends that is all for now...must get the laundry done so I can prepare for packing! Let the good times roll........

Moments That Matter Most

Summer Fun 2011

Well as Fall is officially here, its time to reflect on the summer fun we had. Billy and I took the girls to Disneyland in May. That was AWESOME!!! I haven't been in forever, and I have never been in the position to take my kids. I was so thankful that we were able to do it....finally. We had so much fun! We also went to California Adventure. We also went with my ex sister in law Jamie and her daughter Izzy. I am so thankful they were able to share that memory with us. And I am so thankful, considering she is my ex sister in law, that in our hearts we are still family. Then we headed back to my hometown of San Jose, Ca where we stayed with my parents for 3 weeks. My mom has some health scares which is what extended our stay from 1 week to 3. But I am glad I got to visit with my family for so long. I also got to reunite with my BFF from high school and it was so nice to finally see her again and meet her family. After coming home, we were home for about a week and then we began our looong journey (20 hours worth) of driving to Angelton, Tx (about 30 minutes south of Houston) to visit my dad and his side of the family. It was the 1st time he got to meet Billy and Kate, and the first time he has seen Jackie since she was 2. I miss Texas so much. I used to live there about 10 years ago and have longed to go back ever since. I just love the laid back way of life that is there. It's hard to explain if you've never been. So I finally get my dream. Once I took Billy there, he loved it. We are planning on moving that way this year! I am super excited. We are currently looking in the Austin area. After coming home, my mom came out this way LOL! It was great to see her again. But it was bitter sweet, because her visit meant she was taking our eldest daughter Jackie back home with her to live for the school year. Jackie had some set backs in school that my mom was more equipped to handle then myself. She is just out there temporarily and my mom and I have set up a rotation that every 2 months or so, one of us will make the treck so Jackie can see us. We get the first rotation, so we are headed there next Saturday for a week. I can not wait to see her!!! I have missed her so much. We all have. It's been tough, but she managed to go to church every Sunday, and go to Young Womens. We had planned on having Family Home Eveninings via webcam! :) Fun and exciting!! So that brings us up tp speed. I am so grateful for my family. They make everyday a blessing! Love you guys!!!
